180,000 CY balanced on site with 3D machine control - zero import, zero export.

The Challenge

A reservoir expansion in the high country called for 180,000 cubic yards of cut and fill across a site where every truckload of import or export meant an hour of mountain road — the budget lived or died on the balance.

What We Did

We rebuilt the grading model, sequenced the cuts so material moved downhill exactly once, and ran GPS-guided dozers and scrapers against the design surface all season. Drone flights updated the volumes weekly, so we always knew where the balance stood.

The Result

The site balanced. Not one truckload imported or exported, and the embankment passed compaction testing on the first pass.
